William Semple

Hi, My name is William Semple and i live in Northern Ireland. I started the Gortnagross flock (BLC23) after buying my first Border Leicester Ewe lamb at Ballymena in 2017 and 2 more in Carlisle the following January. 

I decided to start a pedigree flock as I really admired the breed especially at the summer shows and we were already using Border Leicester rams with great success on our Blackface ewes at home.

So far we have received great success both in the Sale and Show ring. I am grateful to be on Council as it gives me a chance to help and promote the breed I am passionate about
